Position: Junior Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator

Junior Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator

Fairfield County, CT

What if your next opportunity wasn't sitting behind a desk designing products but helping drive the manufacturing process that brings them to life?

We’re partnering with a well‑established aerospace and precision manufacturing company in Fairfield County, CT that is looking for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator to support day‑to‑day engineering and shop floor operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys manufacturing, process improvement, and working directly with production teams.

This is the ideal role for someone who:

  • Enjoys being hands‑on and involved in the manufacturing process
  • Likes solving problems and improving workflows
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced production environment
  • Wants to learn the ins and outs of precision machining and aerospace manufacturing
  • Is looking to build a long‑term career in manufacturing engineering and operations
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Help develop methods of operation and job setup packages to support production.
  • Coordinate machine selection, outside processing requirements, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure jobs are properly prepared and released to the shop floor.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and updates to manufacturing documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling priorities, technical documentation, and engineering administrative support as needed.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
  • Join a growing aerospace manufacturer with a strong reputation in precision machining and fabrication.
  • Work directly alongside experienced manufacturing and operations professionals.
  • Gain hands‑on exposure to engineering, production planning, and shop floor operations.
  • Opportunity to develop into a Manufacturing Engineer, Methods Engineer, or Process Engineer over time.
  • Stable, team‑oriented environment with long‑term career growth potential.
Ideal Background
  • Experience or education in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, CNC machining, or a related technical field
    .
  • Recent graduates are welcome, but prior manufacturing or machine shop exposure is highly valued
    .
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, manufacturing processes, or precision machining is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in and around a manufacturing/shop floor environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; exposure to CAD or manufacturing software is beneficial but not required.

This is not a traditional design engineering role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys the operational side of engineering—supporting production, improving processes, and helping ensure high‑quality aerospace components move efficiently through manufacturing.

Full‑Time | Fairfield County, CT

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package offered

Whether you’re a recent graduate with manufacturing exposure or an early‑career professional looking to grow within aerospace manufacturing, this is an outstanding opportunity to build a long‑term career with a stable and expanding organization.
