Overview

A precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace and power systems industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support process improvement, operational efficiency, and production optimization initiatives. This role will focus on improving productivity, quality, safety, and manufacturing flow through lean methodologies and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes to support quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives.
  • Analyze workflows and recommend improvements to production flow and shop layout.
  • Lead cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives for new and existing products.
  • Support ongoing production through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with process documentation, tooling improvements, and manufacturing support activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel.
  • Support new product introduction and process capability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and operations teams to improve manufacturing performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of machining processes including turning, milling, grinding, and deburring.
  • Familiarity with Solid Works or other 3D CAD/modeling software.
  • Understanding of welding, laser cutting, and EDM processes is a plus.
  • Experience with metrology tools including calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • ERP system experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
