Our client is a specialized manufacturing company that focuses on producing precision components through powder metallurgy (PM) technologies. The company transforms metal powders into finished, high-performance parts using several advanced processes.
Key Responsibilities- Management of manufacturing shop floor operations including employee development, operation profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Utilizes reports, analyzes information, and monitors trends to identify opportunities to constantly improve the business
- Identifies opportunities to reduce waste and process improvements that are value added for customers and employees
- Interviews, hires, trains and promotes employees to support improved plant operations and sales growth
- Ensures positive employee engagement and development through timely and effective feedback
- Champions and implements both company and plant initiatives for consistent execution and continuous improvement
- Sets a monthly shipping plan for the plant and diligently works with team to execute on-time deliveries for customers
- Manages daily plant operations by interpreting, communicating and executing policies and procedures
- Resolves all customer and employee issues in a timely way
- Facilitates and participates in meetings and conference calls with customers
- Multi-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environment
- Speak, listen, and write effectively in dealings with customers and employees across departments
- Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
- Identify business opportunities and suggest improvements
- 3+ years management experience in a MANUFACTURING plant - REQUIRED
- Experience in a high-mix, high-volume production environment.
- 3+ years’ experience in an ISO
9001 certified operation - 3+ years’ experience in 5S and lean manufacturing environment
- Experience with hydraulic and or mechanical presses is a major plus (stamping, fine blanking, powder metal)
- Experience with CNC Machines is a big plus
- A thorough understanding of print reading and geometric tolerancing
- Bachelor’s Degree REQUIRED preferably in an engineering field
- Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment
