Overview

The Yale School of Management (SOM) seeks a Marketing Coordinator to support the Executive Education team and help advance SOM’s mission of educating leaders for business and society. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and working closely with the Managing Director of Digital Learning and Strategic Initiatives, this role is a key contributor to the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives across Executive Education programs.

The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate across teams to produce compelling marketing assets, support digital and in‑person engagement efforts, and ensure the effective use of marketing technologies and data. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented, creative, and collaborative marketer who is eager to grow their skills while contributing to high‑impact programs that serve senior leaders and organizations worldwide.

Essential Duties
  • Support the timely compilation, production, and distribution of marketing and communications assets, including emails, websites, webinars, brochures, and ads, coordinating translation as needed.
  • Execute social media efforts using evolving technologies, including generative AI, and best practices. Conceptualize, produce, and schedule creative (especially video) content and report on performance.
  • Maintain marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce), including upkeep of creative assets and filing systems; build email campaigns, manage send schedules, optimize content, and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure all prospect and participant records are accurate and up to date, in coordination with IT and the sales and marketing teams.
  • Support in‑person and digital community engagement strategies to build a dynamic professional development community.
  • Support events and webinars through coordination, public speaking, and promotions.
  • Conduct marketing, competitive, trend, and consumer research to continuously improve marketing and program development.
  • Maintain and enhance marketing metrics reports and dashboards.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of innovations and marketing that will improve customer satisfaction, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop strong working relationships with university, vendors, international stakeholders, faculty, and clients; maintain positive rapport with executive programs staff.
  • Improve and systematize documented operating processes and administrative protocols of the department, ensuring compliance with school and university policies; other projects as assigned.

    Skills and Abilities
    • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and content management systems, like Drupal.
    • Proficiency with existing social media tools, including Linked In and social media analytics.
    • Excellent project and time‑management skills, and proficiency in project management software, like
    • Firsthand experience with generative AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
    • Understanding of CRM segmentation and data hygiene best practices.
    • Superior interpersonal skills to interact effectively, coordinate across teams, and represent the school well with participants, faculty, administrators, and corporate contacts.
    • Positive and can‑do attitude that supports the mission of the school; proven ability to work successfully in a fast‑paced and changing environment; team player.
    • Proven organizational skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Writing sample required at time of application.
    • Ability to learn quickly and respond to shifting priorities. Passion for building brands through excellence and innovation.
