Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a CT or compact license and trauma center experience.
Responsibilities- Position is located in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a short term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
- Average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3
- Night shifts are 12 hours, scheduled from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend shifts are required
- Charting is completed in Epic
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Parking available for a monthly fee
- Maximum of 7 days of time off may be requested and auto-approved; requests beyond 7 days require approval
- Former permanent staff must have been gone at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- Participation in emergency response activities is required for travelers
- Active CT or compact state RN license, or proof of pending license with activation prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
- BLS certification required
- Previous trauma center experience at a large facility is required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Flu vaccine required without declination; COVID-19 vaccination/booster required with religious/medical exemption considered
