Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position at a large Level I Trauma, Academic Medical Center requiring at least 2 years of CVOR experience and the ability to scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate.

Job Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a large, Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ beds,

• Average patient ratio of 1:2,

• Must scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate,

• Flexible shift options available including 5x8s, 3x12s, or a mix of 12s and 8s - RN's choice,

• On-call required: 2 calls per M-F week (either 7p-11p or 7p-7a) plus 1 day per week available to stay late,

• Weekend on-call required: two 24-hour calls per 6-week schedule block,

• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs,

• Charting performed in Epic,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted provided active license is obtained prior to start date,

• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS,

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required,

• Experience at a large Trauma Center required,

• Must be able to scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate,

• Candidates must not have any priors on their nursing license,

• 1 professional reference required for consideration,

• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted,

• COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions accepted,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate,

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler,

• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require additional facility approval,

• Block scheduling is not available,

• Scrubs are provided by the facility,

• Parking is available for approximately $125/month,
