Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry nursing skills.

Job Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital - a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with over 1,500 staffed beds,

• Average patient ratio of 1:5-6,

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs,

• Block scheduling is not available,

• No on-call requirements,

• Charting performed in Epic,

• Parking available at a cost of approximately $125/month,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted, but must be active prior to start date),

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required,

• No prior disciplinary actions or issues on nursing license,

Additional Information

• Orientation begins virtually on the start Friday, with onsite reporting beginning the following Monday,

• Royal blue scrubs required,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler,

• RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval,

• Flu vaccination is required - declinations are not accepted,

• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted,

• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed,
