The Children's Sedation RN at Yale New Haven Health is responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care in a pediatric setting. • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Respect patients’ values, preferences, and expressed needs in care.
• Collect pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer’s health.
• Analyze assessment data to determine actual and potential diagnoses.
• Identify expected outcomes for individualized care plans.
• Develop and modify plans of care to attain expected outcomes.
• Implement identified care plans.
• Coordinate care delivery and transitions in care.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Pediatric critical care experience required.

  Certifications:
  
  Current RN License in Connecticut; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; PALS required upon hire; clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
