Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Chemotherapy / Breast Clinic

Schedule:
Day Shift 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (4x9s), 36 hours per week. 9‑hour shifts. Self‑Scheduling, No Call Requirement.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient breast oncology and women’s services clinic setting.
- Deliver safe and effective care to patients receiving chemotherapy and oncology‑related treatment.
- Perform telephone triage and in‑basket management to support patient care coordination and timely follow‑up.
- Assist providers during clinic visits including both new patient and return patient appointments.
- Deliver patient education for pre‑operative, post‑operative, and chemotherapy treatment plans.
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments according to oncology standards and protocols.
- Assess patients for treatment readiness and monitor for adverse reactions and oncologic emergencies.
- Recognize and communicate abnormal laboratory values and raise concerns appropriately.
- Provide symptom management for treatment‑related complications including nausea, skin changes, mucositis, and altered mental status.
- Perform IV therapy including starting and maintaining IV access and management of implanted ports.
- Access and manage infusion ports while maintaining safety and infection prevention practices.
- Support breast surgery and plastic surgery patient populations throughout treatment and recovery.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment expectations, medication management, symptom control, and follow‑up care.
- Provide psychosocial support and promote patient‑centered care throughout the oncology journey.
- Monitor and manage chemotherapy and biotherapy side effects.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Epic EMR.
- Collaborate with providers, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Travel experience required
- Outpatient clinic experience required
- Telephone triage experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ONS / ONCC Chemotherapy certification (required)
- Epic EMR experience required
