American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of tele experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care hospital
• Patient ratios average 1:4 days and 1:5 nights
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date, though pending licenses accepted at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN Telemetry experience required (1.5 years considered if from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital)
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Strong telemetry background including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with skills such as IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, respiratory management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams preferred
• One professional reference required for consideration

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a large academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center setting
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital to be eligible as a traveler
• Previous perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
