American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of tele experience and a CT or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Telemetry unit of a Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care hospital
- Patient ratios average 1:4 days and 1:5 nights
- 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
- No on-call responsibilities required
- Uses Epic charting system
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date, though pending licenses accepted at time of submission
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN Telemetry experience required (1.5 years considered if from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital)
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Strong telemetry background including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with skills such as IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, respiratory management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams preferred
- One professional reference required for consideration
- Provide telemetry nursing care within a large academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center setting
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital to be eligible as a traveler
- Previous perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
- RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
