American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Urology Clinic position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

Requirements
  • Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Trauma Level I Center experience at a large facility required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Skilled in authorization forms, chart preparation, and pharmacy refill requests
  • Experience with catheterization, specimen collection, and urinalysis
  • Experience assisting with procedures and suture removal
  • Proficient in vital signs, pulse oximetry, and medication reconciliation
  • Urology clinic experience preferred
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
Responsibilities
  • Work in an outpatient urology clinic supporting provider office visits and outpatient procedures
  • Support nursing visits including bladder chemo instills, catheter changes, and rectal swabs
  • Perform phone triage for patients
  • Each surgeon is typically assigned a dedicated nurse, with APPs counted as 0.5 nurse assignments
  • Each procedure is staffed with one nurse
  • Training provided for a specific group of providers' clinics and nurse visits
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • No weekend requirements
  • Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, disability forms, and telephone triage
  • Perform biohazard waste disposal and follow universal precautions
  • Conduct patient health questionnaires, history, and allergy assessments
  • Interpret laboratory results and perform pain assessments
