Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Surgery

Join Yale New Haven Health and become part of a collaborative Orthopedic Surgery team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive orthopedic care in the operating room, inpatient setting, and outpatient clinic.
Position Highlights- Full-time APP opportunity in Orthopedic Surgery
- Mix of OR first assist, inpatient rounding, and outpatient clinic responsibilities
- Collaborative team of orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice providers

- Perform patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room
- Manage pre- and postoperative patient care
- Conduct inpatient rounds and outpatient follow-up visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
- Perform procedures including joint injections, casting, splinting, and wound care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Experience
- Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred but not required
- New graduates encouraged to apply
Licensure & Certifications
- CT APRN License and national certification OR CT Physician Assistant License and NCCPA certification
- DEA License or eligibility
- BLS/ACLS certification as required
