American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center, requiring CT or compact RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• ICU setting with an average patient ratio of 1:3 across days, nights, and weekends
• Floating required to PCU, other ICUs, and SRC campus as needed
• Every-other-weekend (EOW) coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (1.5 years considered for candidates with Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Skills required:
  
  IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with medical or religious exemptions only

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those requiring ventilatory support, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac dysrhythmia management
• Position located at a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,000+ staffed beds
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Former staff must have a 2-year gap in employment before returning as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
