American Traveler is seeking a Neuro ICU RN for a night-shift travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a CT or Compact RN license.
Details- Neuro ICU setting within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
- Average patient ratio of 1:2 on both day and night shifts
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required; pending license accepted
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I Trauma or travel experience)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Neuro ICU experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, and titration of vasoactive and sedation drips
- Experience with neurological care including EVD, ICP monitoring, CVA/stroke management, and post-craniotomy care
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- One professional reference required
- Provide critical care nursing to complex Neuro ICU patients including those requiring ventilator support, ICP monitoring, and vasoactive drip titration
- Participate in multidisciplinary care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
- Must be willing to assist with natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemption
- RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Previous perm staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers accepted
