American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring CT/compact license and at least 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

• Neuro ICU setting within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
• Average patient ratios of 1:2 for both day and night shifts
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active or pending CT RN license (Compact accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care
• Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, and central/PICC line care
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and management of vasoactive and sedation drips preferred

• Provide critical care nursing to complex neurological and neurosurgical patients including stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury cases
• Participate in emergency response and natural disaster coverage as needed
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required with only religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible unless accepting a local rate
• Former staff must have a 2-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Requests for RTO beyond 7 days require additional approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
