Aerospace Quality Inspector
Join our dynamic team in New Haven, CT, as an Aerospace Quality Inspector! We are seeking a detail‑oriented professional who is passionate about ensuring the highest standards of quality in aerospace manufacturing. In this role you will play a crucial part in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards while working in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities- Conduct thorough quality inspections of aerospace components and assemblies to ensure compliance with AS9100 and AS9102 standards.
- Utilize GD&T principles to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and various measurement gauges, calipers, and micrometers to assess product dimensions and tolerances.
- Implement and maintain Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) protocols in accordance with ISO 22000 and FDA regulations.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records to support quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Proven experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application in quality control.
- Familiarity with Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) standards, including ISO 22000 and FDA regulations.
- Experience with AS9100 and AS9102 quality management systems.
- Proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and using measurement gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications in quality inspection or aerospace standards are a plus.
