Scientist II​/Sr Scientist

Join a leading bio-research company specializing in specialty crops, is seeking an experienced Scientist II / Sr Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading significant aspects of research projects, designing complex experiments, and mentoring junior scientific staff. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in molecular biology, tissue culture, and bioinformatics, contributing actively to the company’s innovation in agricultural biotechnology.

• Lead key aspects of research projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
• Design and execute complex molecular biology experiments, including gene editing using CRISPR/Cas9 technologies.
• Develop and optimize advanced plant tissue culture, regeneration, and transformation protocols.
• Design and validate vectors for various genetic modification strategies.
• Conduct sophisticated experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation, delivering detailed reports and insights.
• Manage and mentor junior scientific staff, fostering skill development and collaborative teamwork.
• Apply bioinformatics tools and approaches to support research and development initiatives.

Must-Haves:

• Ph.D. with 2–5 years or MS with 5–10 years of relevant experience in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Biology, or related fields.
• Advanced expertise in molecular biology techniques, tissue culture, regeneration, and transformation.
• Proven ability in vector design and testing, experimental planning, and complex data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and managing junior scientific team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in bioinformatics and familiarity with next-generation sequencing workflows.
• Experience with laboratory automation and high-throughput systems.
