Analyzes and interprets data from various sources and develops statistical analysis and programming strategies to support research projects. The Statistician 2 is responsible for compiling reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods, providing comprehensive statistical support for multiple projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design studies, develop analytical plans, conduct analyses, interpret results, manage data, prepare manuscripts and reports, and present findings to diverse audiences.

• Proven proficiency in biostatistics, with experience in constructing multivariable linear, logistic, and survival models, and the ability to determine appropriate statistical approaches and learn new methods as needed.
• Strong programming skills, ideally in SAS, R, and/or Python, with the ability to manage complex databases and implement relevant statistical programs.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical ideas to non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

• PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Develop operational procedures for collection, editing, verification, and management of statistical data.
• Develop and implement relevant statistical programs to incorporate data from multiple projects.
• Design comprehensive relational databases with working knowledge of the scientific applications impacting data analysis and reporting.
• Assist faculty and other research professionals with the formulation and description of appropriate statistical methods.
• Evaluate research studies and recommend statistical procedures to analyze data.
• Carry out comprehensive statistical analysis for a broad spectrum of data types and study designs.
• Integrate research methodologies from multiple projects into bio‑statistical analyses.
• Prepare reports summarizing the analysis of research data, interpreting findings and providing conclusions and recommendations.
• Present talks, seminars, or other oral presentations on statistical methodology and analysis used in scientific studies.
• Assist investigators in preparation of research grant applications by writing methods sections pertaining to data acquisition, analysis, relevance, and validity.
• Participate in manuscript preparation submitted for peer‑reviewed publication.
• May supervise and provide training for lower‑level or less experienced employees.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Master’s Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field and four years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
