We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Advanced Diagnostic Tests Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. Carries out assignments for diverse large or multi-faceted project. Performs experiments, and laboratory techniques, with emphasis on molecular spatial tissue-based analyses. Responsible for the daily operation of a specialized laboratory for molecular biomarkers.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Recommends and plans the design and implementation of procedures and protocols under the supervision of a higher-level authority.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and reaches preliminary scientific conclusions related to experimental planning.
  • Ensures data results are compiled, analyzed, quality controlled and presented properly.
  • Maintains clear documentation of results and produces summary reports.
  • Performs laboratory techniques and participates in experimental planning.
  • Interacts with internal contacts including PI, research assistants, graduate students.
  • Collaborate with scientific team to culture cells and generate control/reference samples.
  • Aid in the implementation of general laboratory maintenance protocols. Maintain comprehensive laboratory protocols and records of results.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous hands-on research experience in a laboratory setting including basic laboratory procedures.
  • Advanced experience in digital pathology, multiplex quantitative immunofluorescence, analytical assay validation and use of advanced spatial pathology software.

Required

Education and Experience:

Master's Degree in a scientific discipline and one year experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
