OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Advanced Diagnostic Tests Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. Carries out assignments for diverse large or multi-faceted project. Performs experiments, and laboratory techniques, with emphasis on molecular spatial tissue-based analyses. Responsible for the daily operation of a specialized laboratory for molecular biomarkers.
Principal ResponsibilitiesRecommends and plans the design and implementation of procedures and protocols under the supervision of a higher-level authority.
Investigates, analyzes, and reaches preliminary scientific conclusions related to experimental planning.
Ensures data results are compiled, analyzed, quality controlled and presented properly.
Maintains clear documentation of results and produces summary reports.
Performs laboratory techniques and participates in experimental planning.
Interacts with internal contacts including PI, research assistants, graduate students.
Collaborate with scientific team to culture cells and generate control/reference samples.
Aid in implementation of general laboratory maintenance protocols. Maintain comprehensive laboratory protocols and records of results.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Skills And Abilities
- Previous hands-on research experience in a laboratory setting including basic laboratory procedures.
- Advanced experience in digital pathology, multiplex quantitative immunofluorescence, analytical assay validation and use of advanced spatial pathology software.
- Recommends the design and implementation of procedures and protocols under the direction of a higher-level authority.

4. Analyzes, develops and interprets scientific results. Maintains clear documentation of results. Prepares scientific reports and papers for research proposals and published reports.
5. Performs independent research and laboratory techniques and participates in experimental research planning.
6. Interacts with internal contacts including the PI, research assistants, graduate students, Radiation Safety and Biological Safety officers, and Animal Care personnel to discuss and evaluate research results and to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the laboratory.
7. Interacts with external contacts such as researchers at other institutions, staff at biotechnology and reagents companies to consult on research methods and to keep abreast of product information and developments. 8. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline and one year experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Range: $61,500.00 - $91,875.00
