Sales Associate

Position Summary:

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing customers with a friendly and fast service. Major responsibilities beyond customer satisfaction include completing register transactions, maintaining general appearance and station cleanliness in a fast-paced environment while adhering to company policies.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Customer Service Running a cash register includes accountability for cash, lottery tickets, etc.

Completing shift report

Cleaning (windows, floors, bathrooms, emptying trash containers, etc.)Stocking shelves and coolers

Sweeping and mopping floors

Gasoline tank inventory (stick readings) for Deliveries Checking product in as it is delivered from vendors.

Yard maintenance (sweeping, shoveling, painting, checking gas wells, etc.)Merchandising Other tasks assigned by management.

Ability to communicate with associates and guests.

Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED Required Skills/ Abilities:

Strong people skills.

Enthusiastic, service-driven attitude.

Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Dependable and respectful to others.

Strong work ethic.

Position Requirements :

Wear the required store uniform.

Available weekend, evening shifts and holidays

Must have reliable transportation.

Must attend mandatory meetings (i.e. sexual harassment)

Physical Requirements:

Frequent bending, reaching, lifting of 1 to 15  able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist

Be able to freely access all areas of the store.

Move quickly around the store.

Employment type:

Variable hour employee based on operational needs; this is a non-exempt position under the FLSA requirements and qualifies for overtime.
