Bakery Sales Representative
Pay: $90,000.00 - $ per year + bonus

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Bakery Sales Representative with 10+ years of hands‑on sales experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry (bakery preferred). This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling high‑quality baked/non‑baked goods to supermarkets, food service operators, and natural food channels both directly and through food brokers and distributors. The ideal candidate is a proactive closer who excels at building strong customer relationships, generating creative revenue‑generating ideas, negotiating effectively, and collaborating closely with the supply chain team to ensure seamless execution from order to delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across retail (supermarkets/grocery), food service, and natural/organic channels.
- Prospect, develop, and grow new and existing accounts in supermarkets, independent retailers, restaurants, caterers, institutions, and natural food stores.
- Conduct in‑person sales calls, product presentations, tastings, and demonstrations to secure distribution, shelf space, and promotional programs.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, promotions, and contracts while protecting company margins and profitability.
- Generate innovative revenue‑generating ideas, including new product applications, seasonal promotions, bundle opportunities, and custom programs tailored to customer needs.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to forecast demand accurately, resolve delivery or inventory issues, and ensure on‑time fulfillment and product freshness.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with food brokers and distributors — provide training, sales support, and performance monitoring to maximize their effectiveness.
- Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback to support marketing and production teams in developing new baked goods or improving existing lines.
- Plan and participate in trade shows, broker meetings, and in‑store promotional events.
- 10+ years of proven, hands‑on sales experience in the food manufacturing or bakery industry.
- Demonstrated success selling to supermarkets, food service, and natural food channels (direct and broker‑managed accounts).
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals and growing revenue.
- Proven ability to develop creative revenue‑generating ideas and initiatives that drive incremental sales.
- Experience working closely with supply chain, logistics, or operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Excellent relationship‑building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Nielsen/IRI, CRM software (Salesforce or similar), Power BI or other reporting platform
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory (occasional overnight travel may be required).
- Passion for baked goods and the food industry is a strong plus.
