Building Automation HVAC Service Specialist — Cromwell, CT branch (serving greater Stamford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Danbury & Fairfield counties).

Responsibilities- Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
- Collaborate with internal service teams including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel
- Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers; complete training in the designated training path
- Adhere to mandatory policies, procedures, and standards; may coordinate with contractors on job sites; maintain tools and test equipment
- Provide after-hours support during on-call rotations; respond to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned; perform repairs on all automation system types
- Complete service ticket documentation per policy and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generate reports in Siemens tools
- Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assist with training
- Identify system discrepancies, suggest upgrade opportunities, and assist in pricing repairs and upgrades; perform system checkout and startup on projects
- Work overtime when needed and be flexible with compressed schedules; participate in on-call rotations and minimal overnight travel
- Participate in job site final walks and turnover for systems-to-service projects; perform other duties as assigned
- 1+ year of building automation experience servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment
- Electro-mechanical experience and user PC/software skills
- Ability to work in varied conditions (climbing ladders, scaffolds, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings)
- Willingness to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; ability to carry and move equipment up to 50 pounds
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Must be 18+, have a valid driver's license with limited violations, and meet eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- 2+ years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment
- Knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations
- Engineering or programming (PLC or BMS) background
- Knowledge of building system communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP)
