Position Location: This role supports our Cromwell, CT branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Stamford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Danbury & Fairfield county areas.

Service Specialist Role

Our Service Specialists conduct service agreement tasks, scheduled maintenance assignments, and project support to ensure building automation systems inside buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities are properly maintained and operating correctly. They are the face of Siemens and provide expertise and regular interaction with customers to help them save energy and money, creating a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
  • Collaborate with service sales, client service managers, service coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel
  • Follow safety requirements and complete assigned training as outlined in the training path
  • Coordinate with contractors on job sites, maintain tools and test equipment
  • Support after hours during on-call rotation, respond to emergency service calls as assigned, and perform repairs on all automation system types
  • Complete service ticket documentation, follow preventive maintenance schedules, maintain accurate records and generate reports within Siemens tools
  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assist with training
  • Identify and report system discrepancies, suggest upgrade opportunities, assist in pricing of repairs and upgrades, and perform system checkout and startup on projects
  • Work overtime when needed and participate in job site final walk‑throughs for systems-to-service turnover
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of building automation experience servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment
  • Electro‑mechanical experience or education and PC/software skills
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments, including ladders, scaffolds, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, and above ceilings
  • Ability to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, tablet and to carry equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • 18 years of age, valid driver’s license with limited violations, and eligibility to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Specialized skill training or certification
  • 2+ years installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations
  • Background in engineering and programming (PLC or BMS)
  • Knowledge of building system communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP)

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $54,121 - $92,779 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
