Description
Program DescriptionFamily CT’s Parenting Support Services (PSS) program provides free, in-home parenting education and family support for families with children ages 0–18. Using evidence-based models such as Triple P and Circle of Security Parenting, the program strengthens parenting skills, promotes healthy parent-child relationships, and supports safe, nurturing home environments.
The PSS Program Director oversees program operations, staff supervision, quality assurance, and community collaboration to ensure services are family-centered, evidence-based, and aligned with agency and funder expectations.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in Social Work,Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Services, or related field preferred;
Bachelor’s degree with significant supervisory experience considered - Minimum three years of direct service and leadership experience
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, family systems, attachment, and abuse/neglect prevention
- Experience working with high-needs children and families
- Familiarity with Triple P and/or Circle of Security preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to supervise staff, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with community partners
- Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally
- Provide leadership and oversight of the PSS program
- Ensure compliance with agencypolicies, evidence-based practices, and grant requirements
- Oversee quality improvement, outcomes tracking, and RBA reporting
- Support program development, grant activities, and service expansion
- Maintain accurate program documentation and data systems
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate Parent Educators and assigned staff
- Coordinate supervision, staff meetings, training, and case consultation
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and staff development
- Support accreditation and fidelity requirements for parenting models
- Oversee referrals, case assignments, waitlists, and communication with referral sources
- Provide clinical/programmatic consultation and support trauma-informed, family-centered services
- Ensure timely documentation, assessments, and provider communication
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
- Build partnerships with DCF, schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies
- Represent Family CT in meetings, outreach, and collaborative initiatives
- Maintain communication with referral partners and stakeholders
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and supervision
- Manage schedule independently and effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Programs
