This full-time opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist who is committed to helping students achieve academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success. You'll work alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to create positive outcomes and foster inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive.
What You'll Do- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations for students with academic, behavioral, emotional, or developmental concerns.
- Interpret assessment results and present findings to parents, teachers, and school staff.
- Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
- Consult with teachers and administrators on evidence-based interventions, classroom strategies, and behavioral supports.
- Participate in Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives.
- Provide short‑term individual or group counseling and behavioral intervention services.
- Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and response efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and state and federal regulations.
- Partner with families and school staff to promote student growth, well‑being, and long‑term success.
- Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Connecticut School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- Experience conducting psycho educational assessments and interpreting psychological data.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, special education procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- A passion for supporting diverse learners and creating positive educational outcomes.
- Previous experience working in K–12 school settings.
- Familiarity with digital IEP platforms, psychological assessment software, and behavioral data management systems.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams.
