About the RoleRevalia is pioneering Human Data Trials—a new paradigm for accelerating translational medicine by linking donated human organs to cutting‑edge research. Our platform provides biotech, pharma, and medtech innovators with unparalleled access to human biology at scale, reducing reliance on animal models and speeding the path to patients.
We are seeking a highly skilled backend/full‑stack engineer who not only writes code but architect elegant solutions. You should have extensive hands‑on experience with Python and FastAPI, understand how to build systems that scale, and be proficient with modern AI coding tools. Your work will involve delivering performant, reliable backend services and collaborating effectively across teams.
LocationThis position is fully remote with an expectation to travel quarterly to our office in New Haven, CT.

- Professional experience in Dev Ops, security, and cloud infrastructure using Git Hub Actions, Docker, and AWS CDK.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, modern practices, async programming, and framework expertise.
- Strong expertise in FastAPI and comparable Python web frameworks (Django, Flask) with dependency injection, middleware, and OpenAPI/Swagger integration.
- Deep experience with Postgre
SQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and migrations. - Solid understanding of AWS services (RDS, Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS) and related infrastructure.
- Hands‑on experience with AI coding tools and AI‑assisted development workflows.
- Proficiency in Type Script/JavaScript for full‑stack contributions.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles, versioning strategies, and documentation standards.
- Solid understanding of Git and Git Hub collaborative workflows.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Git Hub Actions.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (pytest, unittest) and testing strategies.
- Understanding of web application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Experience with AWS CDK or other IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and microservices patterns.
- Experience with Graph
