Senior Software Engineer, Calibration, Automation & Tools
D-Wave
, NYSE: QBTS, is a leader in quantum computing. The Senior Software Engineer will develop automated calibration systems and tooling for quantum processors within Systems Software Engineering.
- Develop and support systems and tools for quantum processor calibration and operation.
- Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and engineers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Architect, develop, and maintain web applications and systems from concept to production.
- Design and implement user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
- Build efficient, reliable, and maintainable back-end systems.
- Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, math, or physics.
- 5+ years of full stack software development experience both front-end and back-end.
- Strong Python experience and proficiency in another high-level language such as Java, Go, C, or C++.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Proficiency in relational database systems (Postgre
SQL, Oracle). - Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, build tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
