Education Assistant for the Early Adventures Childcare
Neill Elementary School
$21.92 starting pay and benefits based on class 2 of the current Education Assistant contract , $2000 hiring bonus available if qualified.
32.5 hours of per week, 42 weeks per year with summer work optional
6:15 am - 1:15pm, Monday through Friday

At Early Adventures, we provide all day care with a daily preschool component. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive. Our team is passionate about early childhood development and works collaboratively to support each child's unique learning journey. We are seeking a compassionate and dependable education assistant to join our preschool team.

This role is designed to provide engaged supervision for students during the preschool component of the day. The Education Assistant will be in ratio, supporting the classroom as a whole, and will work closely with the teaching and leadership team to help implement group daily plans to foster an inclusive learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support children with what they need while actively participating in classroom ratios and activities.
  • Collaborate with staff team to provide individualized attention and encouragement.
  • Assist in implementing student success plans and behavior strategies as part of a collaborative team.
  • Help monitor progress and provide input on student development for all students.
  • Promote positive social-emotional and cognitive growth through nurturing, play based interaction.
  • Support daily routines, classroom management, and transitions.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging environment that aligns with program policies and DHS certified center standards.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and supervisors regarding student needs and progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful experience working with preschool-age children.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of 12-24 credits in education, child development or related education from an accredited university or vocational school preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to see and hear children to keep them safe in a childcare setting.
  • Must be able to supervise children both outside and indoors daily.
