Material Planning Manager Scope and Supervision
- Position will report to the Business Unit Manager and interacts intra-divisionally with logistics and procurement. Will manage personnel, inventory and production control.
- Manage team of five direct reports.
- Responsible for ~$10M of inventory across New Hope, MN and Blaine, MN locations.
- Manages and prepares division inventory relating to records, tracking of materials, changing business activity, quality of materials and stocking levels; works closely with procurement to ensure reorder processes and timely delivery of materials are in place.
- Administers the development and implementation of an aggressive inventory reduction program limiting the division’s exposure to excess inventory cost; adjusts inventory levels associated with any backlog production.
- Analyzes production requirements based on immediate sales orders and short/medium-term forecast, considering production resources (people, materials, equipment); works with division management to decide within single or multi-plant production facilities the most cost-efficient utilization of production resources for on-time delivery and minimization of overall cost.
- Develops scheduling to establish sequence and lead times of manufacturing operations; requires scheduling in weekly, monthly or longer production cycles.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in inventory and production control.
- 4-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management required, with certification in supply chain management preferred.
- Analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
- Advanced computer skills and ability to understand electronic processing.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.

Competitive CompensationPay Range: $91,600 to $152,750 annually
