Salary Range: $25.00 To $32.00 Hourly

Lake Air Products is looking for a Machinist for all shift 1st shift) to join our team in New Hope, MN
. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists who can set up, operate, and program our CNC Vertical Mills. We use HAAS and Doosan CNC Machines.

• Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not be limited to calipers,  OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
• Adjust machine feed and speed and change cutters to machine parts according to specifications as needed.
• Detects equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
• Set up CNC lathes, multi-axis lathes, and 4-axis horizontal milling, vertical milling machines.
• Proven ability to program and an in-depth understanding of blueprint reading including GD&T.
• Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
• Knowledge of advanced setup, machine feed, speed,and shop math
• Program, set up, and run very complex prototypes without assistance
• Ability to program using (CAD CAM SOFTWARE) Master cam.

• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED (Trade School a PLUS) responsibilities
• Must have experience in milling and turning
• CNC experience with vertical machining centers including 4th axis
  - Doosan and/or KIA, Haas machining experience preferred
• Knowledge of advanced setup, machine feed and speed and shop math
• Must have a basic understanding of manufacturing safety regulations and a willingness to always follow correct safety procedures
• Must be a team player with an excellent attitude, can work independently along with the willingness to work beyond a 40-hour week when business dictates
