RN - Transitional Care Unit - Part Time Evening

Position Overview

Sanford Health invites applications for a part‑time Registered Nurse, scheduled 2:30pm – 11:00pm on evenings. The role is primarily in the post‑acute/TCU unit, with cross‑training to support both long‑term care and post‑acute/TCU units.

Schedule:

5 shifts per two‑week pay period (40 hours total). Friday through Monday evenings. Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday rotation required. Additional pay: $1.25per hour for all weekend hours and hours after 6pm.

Weekly hours: 20. Salary: $38.00 – $48.00 per hour.

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Provide care in all phases of preventative medicine, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, deliver resident education, and carry out nursing interventions.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with job descriptions and competence levels.
• Ensure safe and reliable administration of resident care and resolve care‑related concerns.
• Operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA) desired.
• Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice occurs; multistate licensure acceptable if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Ability to obtain and maintain department‑specific competencies and certifications.
