Paul Bunyan Plumbing & Drains is looking for an experienced Drain Cleaning Technician to join our growing team.

We're looking for someone who can walk into a customer's home, diagnose what's happening, confidently operate drain cleaning and camera equipment, solve the problem, and communicate clearly with the homeowner.

But technical ability isn't the only thing we're looking for.

Pay:

$24–$28/hour, based on experience

We value experience and are willing to pay for someone who brings strong drain cleaning knowledge, troubleshooting ability, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Be Doing:

This is a residential service position focused on drain cleaning, diagnostics, and sewer inspections.

• Diagnose residential drain and sewer issues.
• Clear clogged and backed-up drains using professional drain cleaning equipment.
• Perform sewer and drain camera inspections.
• Identify blockages, root intrusion, damaged piping, and other drain and sewer concerns.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine the appropriate next step instead of simply treating the symptom.
• Explain your findings and options clearly to homeowners.
• Recognize when a larger repair or sewer solution is needed and coordinate with the appropriate team.
• Properly operate, maintain, and care for drain cleaning and inspection equipment.
• Accurately document job findings and completed work in Service Titan.
• Keep your work area, equipment, and vehicle organized and professional.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
• Provide the kind of service that makes customers want to call Paul Bunyan again.

What We're Looking For:

Drain cleaning experience is required for this position.

We're especially interested in candidates who have experience with:

• Residential drain cleaning and stoppages
• Mainline and branch drain clearing
• Drain cleaning machines and related equipment
• Sewer camera inspections
• Diagnosing recurring drain or sewer problems
• Residential service and customer communication

You do not need to be a Journeyman or Master Plumber to qualify.

You'll also need:

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• The ability to work independently and make good decisions in the field.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• The physical ability to lift and operate drain equipment, navigate stairs, work in tight spaces, and remain active throughout the workday.
