Junior Electrician
Seeking a Junior Electrician with at least 2 years of commercial electrical experience to work on medical offices and commercial projects throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. Candidates must be able to work independently, follow blueprints, perform clean installations, and maintain high safety standards.
Responsibilities- Install MC/BX cable, boxes, devices, lighting, and branch circuits
- Perform commercial rough-in and trim work
- Install 1900 boxes, gem boxes, switches, sensors, receptacles, and lighting fixtures
- Pull wire from panels to junction boxes and devices
- Run and bend EMT conduit as needed
- Assist with electrical demolition and temporary power installations
- Install and wire 2x2 and 2x4 fixtures
- Perform panel wiring and low-voltage installations
- Read and follow electrical drawings and blueprints
- Trace circuits and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Work safely on ladders and scissor lifts
- Coordinate daily progress with foremen and team members
- Follow all jobsite safety and sign-in procedures
- Minimum 2 years of commercial electrical experience
- Experience with MC/BX cable installations
- Knowledge of conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and devices
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Experience with commercial fit-outs, renovations, and new construction
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must own basic electrical hand tools, drill, and impact driver
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Strong communication and reliability
- Experience in medical offices and healthcare facilities
- Experience operating scissor lifts
- Experience with low-voltage systems
- Knowledge of sensors, power packs, and lighting controls

Commercial projects throughout Nassau and Suffolk County, NY. Travel between multiple job sites may be required.
This is a Permanent position based out of New Hyde Park, NY.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
