Research And Development Position At Mercedes-Benz
Within the Mercedes-Benz passenger car development, our center develops powertrain systems in the vehicle from modern hybrid transmissions to the electric drives of the future. Here we ensure a consistent project responsibility for the components as well as the systems from the first concepts of the preliminary development to the series introduction to the customer.
In the automatic and hybrid transmission department (RD/ETA) at the Untertürkheim site, we develop the dual-clutch, converter automatic, and hybrid transmissions of the future Mercedes generations. Here we bundle all development activities within the department from the design, testing to the development project management.
Our team is responsible for the design and project management of the complete transmission and individual components. With a focus on project management, system development, and supplier management, we offer deep insights into the entire development process and into various technical topics.
We offer an interesting internship position with challenging tasks in this environment.
These challenges come to you, among others:
- Assistance in the analysis of complex technical issues and the design of technical solutions
- Assistance in overall project management, especially in the coordination and creation of presentation materials and project overviews
- Optimization of processes & tools for project management
The mandatory internship can start from September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office, especially Excel and Power Point
- Commitment and team capability
- Analytical thinking and strategic working method
- Technical understanding, ideally first experience in the drive environment
