Optical Engineering Dual Study Program
Laser, LED and Co. are often associated with Star Wars or other sci-fi films rather than the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Optical Engineering program. However, this program trains engineers (d/m/w) who drive new procedures and developments in the field of optoelectronics – which can also be quite innovative.
Optoelectronics and laser technology are pioneering technologies for markets and industries where pioneering work is still being done. As a global technology leader in the field of space-based data transmission via laser, TESAT is always looking for fresh minds that want to shape the world of tomorrow with new ideas and approaches.
Optics, computer science, electronics, and mechatronics:
The Optical Engineering program combines several engineering disciplines in one study, with the properties of light playing a major role. After the broad physical and technical basic study, you can decide in the more practice-oriented main study whether to focus on optical systems or digital optics.

The product range ranges from the smallest space-specific components to modules, entire assemblies, or payloads. TESAT is the worldwide unique provider and technologically leading in optical terminals for data transmission via laser (LCTs). To date, more than 1,000 space projects have been carried out.
