The Industrial Automation & Robotic Applications Department von Agile Robots is looking for a Robotics Engineer (m/d/f) Industrial Robotics & Automation, who will develop the software for new robotics and automation concepts and implement these in Proof-of-Concepts.

• Robotics software:
  Development of control, motion, and process logic for new robotics and automation concepts in C++ and Python.
• System integration:
  Bringing together perception, sensing, and control to create functional robot behavior.
• Simulation:
  Building and using simulation and virtual commissioning to validate concepts before hardware development.
• Applied AI:
  Using machine learning or image processing methods where they improve the feasibility or performance of a solution in a measurable way.
• Commissioning:
  Software bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting on real hardware in collaboration with hardware engineering.
• Reusable components:
  Building reusable software components and tools that are usable beyond individual Proof-of-Concepts.

• C++ and Python:
  Experience in developing robotics software in C++ and Python.
• Robotics Middleware:
  Practical experience with ROS/ROS2 or similar robotics middleware.
• Robotics Fundamentals:
  Solid understanding of kinematics, motion planning, and control of robots.
• Integration:
  Experience in integrating sensing and perception into functional robot behavior.
• Simulation:
  Experience with simulation environments like Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or similar.

• Applied ML/CV:
  Experience with machine learning or image processing in applied robotics or automation contexts.
• Real-time software:
  Experience with performance- or real-time critical software.
• Virtual commissioning:
  Experience with virtual commissioning of industrial systems.
• Industrial robots:
  Familiarity with interfaces of common industrial robots.
