We as a team are responsible for all logistics from suppliers, production, and markets. We ensure that production has everything it needs and that suppliers are supplied with load carriers and markets with new vehicles. From the first product idea to the start of production, we plan and manage the logistics processes.
During your internship, you will gain comprehensive insights into the Porsche working world and support us in one of the following departments.
Strategy & Standards
- Data analysis and logistics cost controlling
- Logistics planning and optimization systems (optional including VBA, SQL, Java programming)
- Company-wide logistics strategy including support in top management workshops
Product Planning
- Support in influencing future vehicles in the product development process from a logistics perspective in collaboration with development, procurement, quality, etc.
- Collaboration in the strategic evaluation of vehicle components in the supplier selection process and in the event of component changes
Packaging Technology & Container Management
- Planning and development of special containers for the quality-appropriate delivery of our components
- Control of load carriers in the supply chain (including introduction of new load carriers as well as repair and scrapping)
- Coordination of standardized guidelines for the design of packaging concepts and standard processes within the VW Group, also taking into account the issue of sustainability
Project & Structure Planning
- Logistics planning in-house and in vehicle project management
- Logistics for vehicle-related factory projects
- Planning of logistics processes and structures for vehicle and component projects (in Zuffenhausen and internationally)
Planning Transport Networks For Production Material & New Vehicles
- Planning and optimization of transport and distribution networks for the material supply of our production plants as well as the supply of our worldwide sales markets with new vehicles
- Support in tenders and bidder meetings with external logistics service providers
- Contribution to extensive sustainability projects to decarbonize our networks
- Development and maintenance of IT systems for process optimization and efficiency improvement
Start: March & September Duration: 5 to 6 months

What makes you stand out?
- A place of study for business administration, engineering, STEM studies, packaging technology, or a comparable course of study (at least in the 3rd semester or in the gap year between bachelor and master)
- Ideally the specialization direction logistics/ supply chain
- A confident handling of MS Office (especially PowerPoint & Excel)
- Enjoy working in a team and a self-reliant, structured, and analytical way of working
- Very good German language skills (min. B2)
