We are hiring for an experienced Project Lead Engineer with core technical knowledge.

What will you do?

Roles & Responsibilities

  • You lead large and complex German-speaking projects for air and gas insulated high voltage substations (AIS and GIS, 110 kV – 380 kV). You take full responsibility for all engineering activities from project start to as-built phase and adhere strictly to project specifications, local laws, standards, and internal Linxon standards for quality, health, safety, and integrity.
  • You review technical planning documents for substations, such as schematics, technical specifications, layouts, and detail drawings, considering interfaces, standards, processes, and customer specifications.
  • You create technical concepts, specifications, and select equipment and materials, taking into account costs, quality, and standards and customer specifications.
  • You create technical purchase specifications for projects in execution and projects in the bidding phase.
  • You review and coordinate work packages, calculations, or studies with internal or external engineers.
  • You lead technical clarification rounds with customers or suppliers.
  • You support during the construction phase in the planning of installation, commissioning, and other on-site activities and resolve technical problems.
  • You support in the technical area in the creation of purchase specifications, calculations, schedules, deviations, and offer evaluations.
  • For the technical packages and available technical resources, you plan the required hours, set dates, and manage changes.
  • You support the contract manager in the technical part of claims (additional scope of services, cost impacts, schedule impacts, and risk assessments).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • You have more than 5 years of experience in a leading role in the primary and/or secondary planning of high voltage substations.
  • You are familiar with German legal requirements and standards.
  • You are a results-oriented team player with a proactive approach.
  • You impress with your communication skills and successfully build relationships with internal and external partners at all levels in a multicultural environment.
  • You have good knowledge of common studies and calculations in the high voltage area.
  • You are fluent in German, both verbally and in writing, and have good English skills.
  • You have experience with document management systems (e.g., PIRS).
  • Very good MS Excel skills and knowledge of AutoCAD/Primtech, Engineering Base, or BIM/Navisworks are also a plus.
