Production Planning Position at Mercedes-Benz AG

The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With the Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans.

Our department is responsible for the production planning of electric drive systems. Current projects include the eATS 2.0 with the goal of establishing a global and supply-capable production network for the upcoming vehicle series.

We work with state-of-the-art technologies and with international project partners. Mobile working is regularly used. We participate in internal and external specialist events to see where the market and where we currently stand.

These challenges come to you, among others:

• Participation in the definition of production means / production aids
• Coordination, accompaniment and evaluation of machine acceptance after conversions
• Participation in the creation of status reports and decision templates
• Accompaniment of the ramp-up of new products
• The indirect participation in IPV (interdisciplinary production preparation) workshops requires a confident appearance, moderation skills and a sense for dealing with people
• The job also includes the preparation of workshops which includes the development of data bases and term plans
• Participation in production scenarios taking into account standard manufacturing concepts
• Participation in the sub-project management product in the planning of future drive technical vehicles from Mercedes-Benz
• Participation in project management (tendering and load sheet creation, concept evaluation, cost and term tracking, pre- and post-project meetings, system maintenance)
• Involvement in the operational day-to-day business to gain practical experience, e.g. in the planning and implementation of plant overhauls

The activity can start from September 2026.

Qualifications:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable course
• Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
• Secure handling of MS-Office
• Commitment and independence
• Analytical and conceptual ability desirable
• Logical and structured thinking desirable
• Practice orientation
• Team and communication skills
• Intercultural experience, project experience and technical understanding desirable

Please note that your internship at this location must have a prescribed compulsory component.
