You will gladly take on this responsibility:
As a Planning Engineer Hardware (m/w/d), you will adapt our in-house products of the control and signaling technology from the portfolio of the electronic signal control systems (ESTW/DSTW) and the European Train Control System (ETCS) in the area of hardware applications to the specific requirements of our customers, especially the German Railway.
This also includes the following tasks:
- You will design the hardware applications based on the customer requirements of the so-called PT1-plan with the help of our company's own design software
- You will define and materialize the required components and coordinate closely with neighboring areas
- You will create the so-called PT2-plan for our customer, the associated assembly specifications for our colleagues in the commissioning and for the approval of the systems
- During all steps, you will act as the contact person for our customers, planners, and reviewers for technical questions
- Your tasks will be rounded off by the documentation of existing systems
What you bring with you:
- You have a successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
- Alternatively, you have completed the training as a state-recognized technician in the field of electrical and telecommunications engineering or as a railway worker in the operational service
- Ideally, you have already gained knowledge or insights into railway signaling technology or operations in rail traffic, if not, you have the interest to get to know them
- Your handling of computer programs such as MS Office or preferably AutoCAD is secure – programming skills are not required
- As a team player, you keep all project participants in sight and inform them, but you yourself remain calm
- You have very good German language skills in speech and writing, ideally also good English language skills
