Procurement and Supplier Quality Powertrain/elektrische Antriebe
The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With the Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans.
Within the "Procurement and Supplier Quality Powertrain/elektrische Antriebe" area, we are responsible for the global procurement of components for gearboxes and electric drives for Mercedes-Benz cars and vans. The focus is currently on the transformation process towards electric drive systems.
These challenges come to you, among others:
- Participating in the potential unlocking through global inquiries and negotiations with suppliers while adhering to the award processes
- Participating in internal meetings (including management meetings) and supplier meetings (also with suppliers on site)
- Participating in the identification of savings potentials necessary for the achievement of overall goals
- Participating in the development of award strategies
- Participating in the management of changes as well as tracking upcoming awards
- Direct contact with adjacent internal areas (development, logistics, quality, risk management, controlling and cost planning) and with our suppliers
- Participating in department- and area-wide special tasks (such as planning events)
- Participating in the preparation and follow-up of project committees and working groups
- Participating in global procurement market research for various scopes
- Creating award high runs, cost reports as well as sample high run curves
- In addition, you will gain insights into the overall risk management of the supplier portfolio and get to know current and future projects
The activity can start in September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Degree in business engineering, business administration, economics or a comparable course of study
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office, especially MS Excel
- Commitment and team capability
- Analytical mindset and structured working method
