ABOUT IBERIA COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER:Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services.
ICCHC is currently seeking a full time PR Marketing Representative for its New Iberia, LA location.
The PR Marketing Representative is primarily responsible for planning, development and implementation of all marketing activities of the health center’s marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities. These activities can include contact with local, regional and state leaders, employee newsletters and representing the health center at community events. The PR/Marketing Representative will create various promotional plans and outline the actions necessary for accomplishing those plans.
This individual must develop and maintain good working relationships with the media, relevant advertising agencies, and the organization’s staff. The PR/Marketing Representative educates local communities on the organization’s mission, services, reviews and comments on relevant state policies and procedures, and advocates on behalf of Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center and its patients with state and national agencies.
- Leads projects, as assigned by the CEO or supervisor, such as health center marketing, and special events
- Designs and implements comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the health center’s activities
- Produces ideas for promotional events or activities and organizes them efficiently
- Coordinates the appearance of all health center print and electronic materials
- Organizes, facilitates, and participates in coalitions as necessary to achieve program goals and build relationships within local communities
- Contributes to ICCHC’s legislative agenda as appropriate, including preparation of fact sheets and communication with legislators and member organizations regarding specific issues
- Schedules at least 3 Visits annually by Elected Officials including at least 1 by National and 1 State representative or Senator
- Recommends budget planning guidelines to the Executive Director
- Responsible for insuring that all employees are registered as Advocates with NACHC
- Responsible for insuring that 20% of Employees respond to NACHC “Calls to Action.”
- Interacts positively and professionally with all employees in overall capacity
- Represents ICCHC in the community, State, etc. as appropriate
- Plan and execute activities to promote health center’s current services and the launching of new services
- Works with Human Resource Manager in generating newsletter
- Represent ICCHC with various organizations like United Way, Unmet Needs, and others during campaigns and events
- Keep up-to-date the ICCHC website hc.org , ICCHC Facebook Sites, and all Other Social media outlets
- Serves on internal committees. Conduct in-service training as required or requested
- Develops and implements activities/programs in attempts to increase healthy and positive employee relations
- Insures that Billboards and other all advertisements are accurate and relevant to services provided
- Inspects all marketing materials and makes suggestions for improvements
- Conduct Site visits to all satellite sites monthly
- Conduct annual needs assessments for each community where ICCHC satellites are located
- Conduct exploratory meetings in communities which are in need of FQHC services
- Coordinate all “Community Health Center Week” activities at all sites
- Perform other duties as assigned by Chief Executive Officer
- EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or Related Field is required.
- TRAINING AND
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of three years of experience in a PR/Marketing environment preferred. Knowledge of community health center mission and operations a plus. The incumbent in this position must possess skills in creative thinking, organizing, planning, interpersonal relations, and resource development.
- JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must have knowledge of health care policy analysis and local, State, and National advocacy skills. Facilitation and presentation skills. Expertise in working with governmental offices as well as national, state and community organizations. Computer literacy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Working is primarily sedentary. Large amounts of time may be spent reading or using PC. Occasional local, State and national travels.
