IMC is currently hiring a
Lab Supervisor
, for our North Campus location. The Lab Supervisor is responsible for professional application of the principles, theories, and techniques of clinical laboratory science necessary to produce reliable resultsto aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and maintainingskills in manual and automated testing of moderate and high complexity in all sections of the laboratory. The labsupervisor must work efficiently, unsupervised, and is expected to exercise independent judgment;

is responsible for computer skills, proficiency in usingthe Laboratory Information System, and for abiding by all regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biological Science

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Certification as Medical Technologist by ASCP or NCA.
• Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  -Generalist with the LSBME
• 12 months internship through a School of Medical Technology or previous MLT training
• 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist
