As an experienced consultant and technical architect for system management, you will take on a shaping role at CGI:
You will advise clients strategically on modernizing their monitoring and management landscapes (with a focus on System Center Operations Manager) and design future-proof, hybrid observability and automation architectures. You will be a technical sparring partner for IT directors, responsible for end-to-end solutions from requirements capture through to PoC and migration up to the productive handover and lead technically implementing teams.

• You will take over the consulting and architecture design for monitoring and system management solutions (SCOM, System Center Suite) in hybrid environments (on-prem ↔ Azure).
• You will be responsible for the development and implementation of migration strategies to modern observability stacks (integration of Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, OMS, Event Hubs), including agent rollout, configuration, and governance.
• You will implement monitoring infrastructures via Infrastructure-as-Code, automated deployments, and scripting (Power Shell, Runbooks).
• You will be responsible for building scalable alarming, reporting, and dashboard solutions for operational control and proactive error detection.
• You will take over the conduct of architecture workshops, creation of technical blueprints, PoCs, and handover to operations teams; technical leadership in rollouts and optimizations.
• Lastly, you will advise on topics such as security, compliance, and high availability in the context of monitoring and management systems.

• You have several years of experience as a consultant or architect in the field of Microsoft System Management / Monitoring (especially SCOM) and in project implementations for hybrid infrastructures.
• You have a deep understanding of Azure monitoring technologies (Log Analytics, Azure Monitor), identity/access integration, and network/security aspects.
• You also have strong implementation skills: automation with Power Shell, experience with IaC approaches, and operational handover.
• You place value on customer-oriented communication and have already gained experience in moderating stakeholders and in architecture decisions.
• Certifications in the Microsoft context are a plus. Travel readiness for customer projects is expected.
• You have very good German language skills in speech and writing as well as good English language skills.
