Cost Estimator​/ Shop Hand

New Iberia, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Cost Estimator Assistant to support estimating, operations, and sales for an oilfield rental company. This role assists with equipment quotes, cost estimates, customer service, and administrative tasks while working closely with shop personnel to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office, and willing to assist across departments.

• Assist with preparing quotes and cost estimates for rental equipment and services.
• Calculate costs including labor, transportation, and materials.
• Maintain estimate spreadsheets and pricing databases.
• Prepare proposals and verify pricing accuracy.
• Communicate with customers and coordinate with operations and shop teams.
• Request vendor pricing and assist with purchasing materials.
• Track jobs, process work orders, and maintain documentation.
• Support invoicing, reporting, and customer inquiries.
• Assist with inventory tracking and equipment readiness.
• Help shop personnel with equipment handling and general duties as needed.
• Follow safety policies and perform other assigned tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of oilfield equipment and ERP systems is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in shop operations.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in office and shop environments.
• Ability to operate around equipment and wear required PPE.
