The New Iberia facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels, and other cryogenic equipment used in the air separation and hydrocarbon industries. The end users include major LNG, petrochemical, and air separation companies worldwide. The facility is located at the Port of Iberia.

• Weld using arc method with gas-shielded flux-cored wire, semi-automatic
• Weld on carbon, alloy, or stainless steel plates, sheets, shapes, castings, or other parts involved in steel fabrication
• Interpret drawings and welding symbols
• Select appropriate welding wire and adjust the welding machine to meet specifications
• Operate arc gouging equipment
• Create welds that meet strength and appearance standards in various positions using gas-shielded flux core wire welding procedures
• Clean welds by grinding or brushing as needed
• Ensure proper setup for welding
• Apply welding sequences to prevent excessive shrinkage or distortion
• Learn and adhere to the Weld Map and Welding Procedure Specifications
• Understand proper use of hand tools, grinders, and welding equipment
• Assist Welders and Fitters with cleaning, moving, holding, clamping, and preparing work pieces
• Work at heights up to 75 ft
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass 2G, 3G, and 4G skill tests
• At least two years of experience as a welder or in a technical welding program
• Knowledge of shop math preferred
• Qualifications may be obtained through on-the-job training
