Surgical Unit LPN

Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is seeking an LPN to work on the Surgical Unit. The role focuses on safe nursing care for surgical patients, medication administration, and supervision of CNAs.

• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• Current license as an LPN in the state of Louisiana.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Knowledge of anatomy.

• Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
• Maintains patient confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and collaborates with other disciplines to initiate education according to the age of the patient.
• Participates in planning of patient discharge needs and readiness for discharge.

• Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
