Store Sales Associate

Overview

Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We're growing, so if you've ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Call out prices for customers when ringing transactions
• Bags merchandise efficiently at checkout
• Handles cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by policy
• Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service, including greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing in customers promptly, thanking customers for shopping and inviting return
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains a professional, neat appearance and wears a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
• Assists management with tasks per company policy
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Supports Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures and reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
