Mechanic Intern (New Iberia, Louisiana)

Position:
Mechanic Intern. Responsibilities include gaining exposure to career opportunities within the oil and gas technology industry, learning about the industry, following internship guidelines, and working in 7am-4pm shifts with potential on‑call and weekend work. The internship follows a 3 week on/3 week off rotation and may transition to offshore work after completion.

• Learn about the oil and gas industry.
• Follow prescribed internship guidelines each week.
• Work scheduled hours of 7 am to 4 pm, with occasional on‑call and weekend hours.
• Prepare for a potential 3‑week on/3‑week off rotation and offshore assignments post‑internship.

• Recent graduate of a diesel mechanic school or other mechanical degree.
• Experience repairing Detroit and Caterpillar diesel engines.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics and some electronics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Local candidates preferred; no relocation offered.
• Must be able to work 40+ hours per week.
